2013 Late Model Stock Car Division Rules

Langley Speedway will be allowing the GM 604 Crate Engine and the FORD 347SR in the Late
Model Stock Car division.
Late Model Stock Car Division GM Crate
o The GM 604 will be allowed to compete. Running different manufacturer’s engines in
different manufacturer’s bodies is permitted. All crate engines must be available to all
competitors at all times to be allowed to compete.
o Engines must remain as they come from manufacturer, no changes (rocker arms - harmonic
balancers etc.)
o Carburetor Allowed #0-80541-1 Holley 650 cfm HP series. No carburetor spacer permitted.
Stock out of box, only change that can be made is to the power valve and jets.
o One (1) piece open hole paper gasket maximum 0.065 inch thickness that matches the
exterior dimensions of the carburetor throttle base plate must be installed between the
carburetor and intake manifold, with no air leaks.
o GM crate engine cars must weigh 3100 pounds, 1375 right side. Car weight may be adjusted
by track officials to equal competition.

o The Ford Crate D347SR will be allowed to compete. Running different manufacturer’s engines
in different manufacturer’s bodies is permitted. All crate engines must be available to all
competitors at all times to be allowed to compete.
o Engines must remain as they come from manufacturer, no changes (rocker arms - harmonic
balancers etc.)

Hutchins: Check your date on the Hutchins. 5 years is the maximum allowed.
Helmets: Only SA2000 and newer will be allowed.

Langley Speedway rules for Transponder placement will be: All transponders will be mounted
72 inches, plus or minus 2 inches from the front edge of the front bumper, measured from the
center of the car.
A. You must register your number at the Track office to be eligible to race at Langley Speedway.
There is a $20.00 fee and your number is good for the entire upcoming racing season. No
duplicate numbers will be permitted. See Section 3 #12 of the General Rules for additional
information on number registration.
B. All other requirements for Identification will be based on the 2013 NASCAR Whelen ALLAMERICAN Series rule book.
C. 2013 LMSC Weight Rule:
Attention Late Model Stock Cars for 2013 we will use the guidelines in the NASCAR Whelen ALLAMERICAN Series rule book on weight.

All cars competing with General Motors engines must maintain a minimum weight of 3100
pounds with a minimum right side weight of 1375 pounds (maximum 56% left side weight).
All cars competing with Ford or Dodge engines must maintain a minimum weight of 3100
pounds with a minimum right side weight of 1390 pounds (maximum 55% left side weight). |
