Backyard Motorsports and ZDS Race Cars Team Up To Provide Race Ready Enduro to Winner of the 2022 Asset Auto Recovery King of the Hill

Hampton, VA – Two locally owned and operated small businesses team up to provide a unique prize package for the 2022 Asset Auto Recovery King of the Hill winner. In addition to the $500 cash prize up for grabs September 28th, Dustin and Vicky Connor – owners of Backyard Motorsports, a not for hire towing company paying cash on the spot for your unwanted vehicles – has partnered with Wacky Wednesday to provide the winner of King of the Hill a one time opportunity to race in the Parts Barn Enduro season finale on Saturday, October 8th. The winner of the September King of the Hill event will have access to a turn key race ready Enduro – a $500 plus value!

“We wanted to come up with an outside of the box way to support Wacky Wednesday,” Dustin Connor said. “A lot of these guys and gals put a lot of time and effort into these cars and a lot of them are their daily driven car or a secondary fun car and they want to get into racing Saturday night but just don’t have the means. We really wanted to be able to give the winner of the King of the Hill a really special experience and scratch that itch to race a full race on Saturdays.”

In addition, ZDS Race Cars – a small business located in Portsmouth, Virginia fabricating and installing roll cages in purposes built race cars – has teamed with Backyard Motorsports to provide up to $1,000 in labor and material to install a full roll cage in the car to be used on October 8th. Owner Zac Stongle, who also races in the Old Skool Video Games Super Street division and crew chief’s his son Noah’s Bandolero program, prides himself in providing the best craftsmanship and safest cages around.

“Being able to partner with Dustin and Vicky on this project is pretty awesome,” ZDS Race Cars owner Zac Stongle said. “Some of these cars out here that compete in Wacky Wednesday put up some times comparable to us Saturday night guys. To be able to put them in a race car they know they will be safe in for a full thirty laps and really see what they can do with other cars around them on the track; I couldn’t pass this opportunity to maybe jumpstart someones NASCAR career,”

The 2022 Asset Auto Recovery King of the Hill Tournament will be like non other in years past. Double elimination style bracket racing under a brand new state of the art lighting system with over $2,500 in total purse up for grabs race fans are guaranteed to see some of the baddest, fastest street cars in the seven cities competing for the chance to call themselves King of the Hill. Registration will open at 6:00 PM. Any car with a valid state inspection, up to date tags, and the ability to pass a Wacky Wednesday safety inspection are eligible to compete. About Wacky Wednesday

Wacky Wednesdays is the premier midweek street car racing event at Larry King Law Langley Speedway. Street legal cars with current state inspection and registration are eligible to compete under the lights for a weekly trophies, cash pay outs, and a shot at becoming a Langley Speedway Champion. Registration and spectator gates open at 6PM with the drivers meeting just after 7PM and competition beginning shortly after. Racing is usually complete by 10:00, providing great family fun on a week night while still ending at a decent hour. Coolers are allowed in the grandstands during the events.
