Hampton, VA — Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway is proud to welcome three brand new division partners for the 2022 racing season.
“The partnerships we have with local business is the driving force behind just about everything here at the track,” General Manager and Promotor Vaughan Crittenden said. “Think of the track like a flame, there are three key ingredients to the fire triangle; oxygen, heat, and fuel. We have a similar situation here at the race track; the fans, the racers, and our partners. Without any one of the three we don’t have a show. Over the off season we made some deals happen to bring new partners on board and we couldn’t be more excited.”
Virginia 811, a not-for-profit organization created by Virginia’s utilities to protect their underground facilities, has really started to ramp up their involvement in the motorsports community. You may have noticed them this past week as the title sponsor for the NASCAR Xfinity series race at Martinsville Speedway. Langley Speedway fans will also see them even more so around their home track. Virginia 811 has come on board to sponsor the Pro Six division for the 2022 season.
“Sponsoring the Pro Six division at Langley Speedway is a natural fit for Virginia 811,” Nikki Turpin, Education & Marketing Supervisor said. “Many individuals participating or watching the races at Langley Speedway are reminded to contact Virginia 811. They may contact in their professional life’s as contractors, or as homeowners completing excavation on their property. By sponsoring the Pro Six division we can continue to share the important message of contacting Virginia 811 before they dig, to have their underground utilities located within three working days.”
Not only will Langley welcome the return of a division for the 2022 race season but also welcome a brand new sponsor to the mix as well. Smith Wraps & Graphics based out of Yorktown, Virginia has taken the courages step forward to partner with the Limited Late Model division throughout the race season. The Smith Wraps and Graphics Limited Late Model division are slated for eleven events this year. A majority of their races being fifty lap features with a handful of twin thirty-five lap sprints.
“To be honest this means everything to me,” Smith Wraps and Graphics owner Billy Smith said. “I wouldn’t be doing this (our business) if it wasn’t for Langley Speedway. It’s my life, (my) family and (my) business and only makes sense to be a part of it.”
Additionally the Hampton Roads Kart Club will see a new name on their trophies for their eleven race season. Asset Auto Recovery, a Hampton based towing and recovery company, got their feet wet in 2021 jumping on board with Brad Adams in the Modified division as well as providing extra wrecker service during Saturday night features. For 2022, however, they decided to invest even more into Langley Speedway partnering with the HRKC Pro Wing Champ division.
