The Hampton Heat is a 200-lap event and will be run in two (2) segments. The first segment will be the halfway break which will be at or around lap 100. Segment two (2) will be a controlled caution at or around lap 150. This will be a counting caution race except for the Halfway Break at or around Lap 100 and the Controlled Caution at or around lap 150. Pit Road will remain closed until signaled with the green flag at the end of pit road and communicated over the radio.
This is a four (4) tire race, all tires must have been purchased and recorded by the tire officials at the track July 22nd or 23rd 2022. Each team will also check in 4 tires no more than 4/32 for emergency use if you have a flat on the rim emergency.
There will be a Halfway Break at or around lap 100. The lineup will be set prior to entering pit road and you will exit pit road in the same order, Pit Road will remain closed until the Pace Truck brings the field down pit road. Teams will remain single file on pit road and crew members will work on the car once all cars have stopped and have been communicated with that time has started. There will be a fifth teen (15) minute break at this time during this caution TEAMS will have the opportunity to make any adjustment/changes, and fuel. There will be a double file restart no cone for this restart after the halfway break.
Lap 150 Controlled Caution / Guidelines Once Pit Road Is Open
The Lineup will be set prior to pit road opening for the controlled caution and will be communicated with the green flag at the end of pit road and over the radio to Spotters.
TEAMS will choose to pit or stay on the track
TEAMS that stay on the track will determine the new line-up as they are on the track
TEAMS that pit will be realigned as they entered pit road behind lead lap cars on the track
TEAMS cannot lose laps or positions on pit road while under this caution
If you are the reason for the caution or enter the pits before the pits are open, you must line up at the end of the longest line.
TEAMS will have the opportunity to make adjustments during the controlled caution only. Teams that choose to pit will pull in front of their pit stall to make adjustments.
The controlled caution will be no longer then six (6) laps
There will be a double file restart no cone for this restart after the halfway break.
