Taylor Waste Services Late Model Stock Cars Set to Return to Langley Speedway for Virginia Ship Repair Association Night

Hampton, VA – After two weeks off the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Late Model Stock Cars presented by Taylor Waste services make their return this weekend to the historic Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway as the points battle starts to heat up.

Chesapeake native, and current points leader, Brenden Queen is one driver looking forward to getting back to work this weekend during Virginia Ship Repair Association night. Looking to continue to pick up wins and extend his mere three-point advantage over Hampton’s Connor Hall.

“Whenever we are not racing you always are ready to get back in the seat and go back to work,” Queen expressed. “However, the break definitely helped us considering we got caught up in that wreck in our last race. Just hoping we got the car back to how it was in the first twin from our win a few weeks ago.”

Things will also look different up and down pit road as teams will have limited tires this weekend as well as moving forward as tracks around the region work to mitigate shortages. Instead of receiving four tires as have been normal this year, teams will only be able to utilize two new sets of tires throughout the evening.

“We are just going to do the best we can this weekend in practice to simulate what it will be like during the race,” Queen said about the two-tire race. “I don’t think anyone will know what they really got till we go green. Either way, we all have to deal with the same situation and be on top of our game and chase some more wins. We are just great full that what Langley is looking at ways to allow us to continue racing”

Queen and Hall are not the only ones to keep an eye out for. As Danny Edwards picked up his first win of the 2021 campaign during their last out – besting younger brother Greg by a bumper cover last time out – he will be looking to continue that momentum. After playing bridesmaid twice last time out Greg Edwards will certainly be hungry to improve his finishing position by one. Edwards Motorsports teammate Thomas Marks is also close to getting his first career Late Model win this year so do not take your eyes off the number 88.

Old Skool Video Games Super Streets will return to action for a pair of twin features where Jimmy Adkins looks to extend his points lead over Danny Harrell and Dale Nichols. Travis Wall looks to continue his dominance in the Riverside Paper Pro Six series while the Cycle City Corp Legends and Bandolero’s and Parts Barn Enduro also look to pick up where they left off.

Practice is set to being Saturday at 2:00 PM EDT. Single car qualifying is set to roll off at approximately 4:30. Green flag set to wave on the evening around 7:00 PM. Tickets for this weekend’s events are still available at www.langley-speedway.com.
