Three Victories in 2022 Earns Ayden Millette the Cycle City Corp Bandoleros Division Crown

Hampton, VA – The INEX Bandoleros division is one designed to allow kids to get the feel of racing full-body cars that are slightly larger than the go-karts they are all probably used to racing on Sundays at the local Hampton Roads Kart Club. At Larry King Law’s Langley Speedway it is also an opportunity for the stars of tomorrow to get a taste of what it is like to race on the big track under the bright Musco LED lights.

Consistency is key in any type of motorsport and oftentimes is the difference between winning or losing a season title. This season young Ayden Millette made a statement by not only finishing all eight races inside the top five but collecting three wins this season. Three second-place finishes, one third-place, and one fifth-place finish also played an important role in Millette’s 2022 success.

“It means a lot to me after all the hard work that my dad put into the car this year,” Millette said. “I’m glad I could win a championship and win races no matter where we go.”

Millette, like two former Bandoleros winners, will trade his much smaller two-cylinder rear-engine race car for the much larger, full-size, eight-cylinder machine that is the Virginia Racer in 2023. Millette is entering the off-season and planning for next year with a great outlook and pretty obtainable goals.

“We want to run top ten all year long,” Millette commented on the jump to the equivalent of a Limited Late Model. “By the end of the year, we want to be looking at top fives.”

Millette will have his work cut out for himself moving up to such a different car. Not to mention the likes of Ryley Music, Cody Bryant, and Doug Warren to deal with. Millette, and the rest of the VA Racer field will kick off their sixteen-race 2023 campaign on Saturday, April 15th with a 50-lap feature.
